Merge Videos

Put several clips together into one video that plays them one after another. Everything happens in your browser, so even big clips don't have to be uploaded first.

How to Merge Videos

  1. Open your first clip in the video editor.
  2. In the Merge tool on the left, press Add a clip after… and choose the next clip; do it again for more. They play one after another; to change the order, press ↑ or ↓ beside a clip.
  3. A clip of another shape is fitted into the first one's shape, over blurred bars. To pick another shape for the whole video, use the Crop tool.
  4. For a smooth change from one clip to the next, choose Crossfade or Fade through black in the Transitions tool.
  5. Cut, add subtitles, music or a logo if you like, then press Save MP4 at the top right.

Questions

Can I merge a vertical and a horizontal video?

Yes. The second one is fitted inside the first one's shape, over blurred bars, so nothing gets cut off.

Can each join have a different transition?

Yes. The Transitions tool sets one for every join; under More options you can choose another at each join, and set the Length.

Which formats can I merge?

MP4, MOV and WebM work best, and you can mix them. The result is always one MP4, up to 2 hours long in all (30 minutes and 1 GB on a phone).

Are my clips uploaded?

No. The editor reads them on your device and writes the merged video there too.
