Merge Audio Files

Join several recordings or songs into one file, in the order you want, then edit them as one. The files stay on your device; the audio editor runs in your browser.

Merge Audio Files

How to Merge Audio Files

  1. Open your first file in the audio editor. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC all work.
  2. In the Merge tool on the left, press Add files and choose the files that come after it. The ↑ and ↓ arrows put them in order.
  3. Edit the result as one recording if you like, with the Cut, Pauses and Volume tools.
  4. Choose MP3, WAV or M4A in the Convert tool, then press the save button at the top right (Save MP3, Save WAV or Save M4A).

Questions

Can I mix different formats?

Yes. You can join an MP3 to a WAV or an M4A; the result is saved in the one format you choose.

Can the files blend into each other?

Yes. In the Merge tool, choose Crossfade under Between files, set the length and press the crossfade button. See crossfade audio.

Can I add a pause between two files?

Yes. Put the playhead where two files meet. In the Silence tool, press At the playhead; each press adds 1 s.

Is there a limit on the number of files?

No set number, but the whole result has to fit the editor's length limit: up to 2 hours on a computer and 30 minutes on a phone.
