Add Music to a Video

Add a song under your video and let the editor turn it down whenever someone speaks. The video and the music stay on your device the whole time.

How to Add Music to a Video

  1. Open your video in the video editor.
  2. In the Music tool on the left, press Choose file… and pick an MP3, M4A, WAV or OGG file.
  3. Set the music's Volume. Under More options, Ducking lowers the music while someone speaks (Normal to start with; Light, Strong or Off), and Loop repeats a song that is shorter than the video (untick it to play the song once).
  4. Press Play to listen. The music fades out over the last 2 seconds on its own.
  5. Press Save MP4 at the top right.

Questions

Do I keep the video's own sound?

Yes. The video's sound and the music each have their own volume. To keep only the music, press Mute in the Sound tool on the left.

Can I add more than one song?

Not at the moment: one music file per video. If you need two songs back to back, join them first in the audio editor's Merge tool, then add the result.

Where do I get music?

Use music you made or have the right to use. The editor doesn't come with a music library.
