Open your MOV file in the video editor.
In the Compress tool on the left, set Save as to Lossless (cuts only) to copy the video into an MP4 without encoding it again. If the option is greyed out for your file, choose Maximum quality.
Press Save MP4 at the top right.

Will I lose quality?

Not with Lossless: the picture and sound are copied as they are, only the file around them changes. Maximum quality encodes the video again and aims to look the same as the original.

My iPhone video won't open. Why?

Newer iPhones film in a format called HEVC, which some computers can't play without the right hardware. If the editor says it can't play the format, try another computer, or set your iPhone to Settings › Camera › Formats › Most Compatible for future videos.
